Semigration is growing in this Western Cape area at a rapid rate

The Bloubergstrand/Milnerton property market has been significantly boosted by the ‘semigration’ trend, with 38% of recent sales (around 1,400 transactions) driven by buyers relocating from other provinces.

Over the past year, property sales in the area totalled R8.2 billion, highlighting the demand from semigrants, particularly those moving from Gauteng. This influx is contributing to rising property values and a strong rental market.

Blouberg’s property market has proven lucrative for investors, with average property prices doubling over the past decade. The area’s strong rental demand, particularly for residential and holiday properties, has provided excellent returns.
