Imhoff Manor Retirement Home launched by Devmark Property Group

With more than 32 years of property development success, the Devmark Property Group’s The Retirement Collection is synonymous with successful retirement villages such as Clé de Cap, Legato, Heritage Manor, Onrus Manor, La Vie Est Belle, Villa Cortona, and more recently Helderberg Manor, The Plettenberg Manor and Langebaan Manor. Imhoff Manor Retirement Estate is their latest edition and first in the Southern Peninsula of Cape Town.

Situated adjacent to the village of Kommetjie, the property provides magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean, Noordhoek wetlands, Chapman’s Peak, as well as Hout Bay.

Says Jean Ehlers, Residential Development Director of the Devmark Property Group: “We’re extremely excited about Imhoff Manor, which will be our tenth retirement development. Kommetjie has become a very popular town for people seeking a relaxed lifestyle, but still want to live close to the city. It’s the perfect area for retirement, with beaches and nature on your doorstep, lots of activities and a peaceful, relaxed lifestyle with a low crime rate, surrounded by a vibrant community.”

Built in the modern Cape vernacular style, the development will offer a combination of 154 freehold homes, 60 apartments and a healthcare centre with assisted living suites as well as frail care beds. Furthermore, it will boast excellent communal facilities such as a clubhouse, restaurant, gym and swimming pool, as well as state-of-the-art security that buyers in Devmark’s retirement villages have become accustomed to.

Houses range from 131m² to 214m² and sell between R3.650 million and R5.5 million. One and two bedroomed apartments, ranging from 58m² to 75,5m², will be priced from R2, 405 million to R2, 850 million and includes a parking bay. High-end finishes will be used throughout such as vinyl flooring, ceramic tiles in the bathrooms, modern kitchens with gas stoves and patios with built-in braais. Construction will begin in the second half of 2023, with occupation end of 2024.

Ehlers continues: “Imhoff Manor is centrally located within the greater Imhoff Lifestyle Estate, and offers beautiful walk ways in nature as well as excellent bird watching. False Bay is often referred to by residents as the ‘Deep South’ and offers attractive historical villages such as Kalk Bay, Simon’s Town and Muizenberg to visit for breakfast or lunch, beautiful scenery and some of the best beaches in the greater Cape Town area. It’s the ideal spot for people wanting to slow down in superb natural surroundings with easy access to Cape Town in less than an hour, where family and friends can come to visit.

“The Devmark Property Group’s philosophy is to offer retirees an exceptional and secure lock-up-and-go lifestyle. We’re driven by quality and aim to offer residents only the very best. We have more than 2 500 retirees living contentedly in our developments and our residents are active, social and enjoy life to the fullest,” Ehlers concludes.
